Yasuke Hibi founded Sangetsudo.

1953

Sangetsudo Shoten Co., Ltd. founded with capital of 2.5 million yen.

1956

Started wallpaper sales.

1960

Established company creed: “Integrity.”
Sales exceeded 100 million yen.
Released first wallpaper sample book, “SS Uni Cloth, 60–61.”

1964

Started nationwide sales promotion.

1965

Yoshiaki Hibi assumed the presidency.

Yuichi Hibi assumed the presidency.

60th anniversary of the company founding.

Shosuke Yasuda assumed the presidency and Yuichi Hibi became chairman.

Reconstructed corporate philosophy including new brand policy,
